Conditions
- Neck Pain
Neck pain and injuries with the many associated complaints make this region very complex in determining the exact cause and treatment. Chiropractic addresses the neurological (nerve) and musculoskeletal (joint) components. Massage therapy and its vast array of stretching/myofascial techniques become a key component of treating this area.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Joint Fixation/Motion Restriction
- Whiplash
- Headaches
- Disc Herniation/Bulges
- Sprain/Strain
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Back Pain
Back injuries are at times the most frustrating for patients because of the longevity and the amount of lifestyle change it causes. An accurate diagnosis may not always be the answer to the best treatment. The complexity of this region gives a perfect example to the saying “one size does not fit all” treatment. We use chiropractic as a means to restoring normal function and implement rehabilitation procedures and massage therapy as a compliment. Athletic training with therapeutic procedures is used to address how the body responds and reacts to daily life with and without pain. Treatment success relies heavily on how the body restores function (chiropractic) and is able to maintain this after treatment (active rehabilitation).- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Disc Herniations/Bulges
- Sciatica
- Piriformis Syndrome
- Spondylolisthesis
- Joint Fixation/Motion Restriction
- Sprain/Strain
- Facet Syndrome
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Shoulder Pain
The shoulder is a complex joint and has a high vulnerability to overuse injuries just as much as acute. Because of its design, its injuries present with unique challenges to a practitioner. Chiropractic has made great progress in designing treatments based on improving joint restriction, not just weakness. Athletic training, Rehabilitation, Massage Therapy and other Soft Tissue modalities compliment these treatments very well. When the knowledge and expertise of other clinicians are needed, our strong referral base allows the patient a smooth transition to other therapies and medical procedures to ensure optimal results.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Rotator Cuff Sprains/Strains/Tears
- Frozen Shoulder/Adhesive Capsulitis
- Bursitis
- Tendonitis
- Labrum Involvement
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Elbow Pain
The majority of elbow injuries we see are chronic in nature. Because of the complexity of the joint, care must be taken to investigate the function not just the symptoms. We incorporate athletic training rehabilitation as a common treatment for these types of injuries. Proper Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue modalities engage much emphasis in functional movements and proper form such as an example of a baseball pitcher throwing correctly or a carpenter using the correct hammer/drill and ergonomics.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
- Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
- Joint Fixation/Motion Restriction
- Bursitis
- Fascial Adhesions
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Wrist Pain
Wrist pain is an extremely common complaint, and there are many common causes of this problem. Chronic repetitive and inappropriate movement patterns in this area can lead to muscular and ligamentous imbalances resulting in pain. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the cause.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Tendonitis
- Sprain/Strain
- Joint Fixation/Motion Restriction
- Arthritis
- Nerve Compression
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Hip Pain
The hip joint attaches the leg (appendicular skeleton) to the torso of the body (axial skeleton). In the hip joint, the head of the thigh bone (femur) swivels in a socket, called the acetabulum which is formed by the pelvic bones. While many causes of hip pain can arise from the joint itself, there are numerous structures surrounding the hip that can also be the source of pain. Trauma may be the cause of hip pain, but any source of inflammation may cause pain in the hip area. Pain is one of the symptoms of inflammation, along with swelling, warmth, and redness; together these are signals that a problem may exist.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Sprain/Strain
- Nerve Irritation
- Arthritis
- Bursitis
- Gluteal Muscle Weakness
- Femoral Acetabular Impingement
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Knee Pain
Treatment for this joint has an important emphasis of finding the correct diagnosis. The knee is a very frequently injured joint in sports. It can also be the joint that is injured secondarily to an injury at a distant joint such as the foot or hip. We then view this as a compensatory injury not the primary. Chiropractic uses this view of compensatory injury as a model in determining if the knee is the source of injury or another portion of the lower extremity is the culprit. Once a diagnosis is found, we are then able to determine if our services are needed or if further coordination of care is needed.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Iliotibial-Band Syndrome (ITB Syndrome)
- Osgood Schlatter’s Disease
- Patellar Bursitis
- Chondromalacia Patella
- Runner’s Knee/Jumper’s Knee
- Medial Knee Pain
- Fascial Adhesions
- Shin Splints
- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Ankle/Foot/Toe
The ankle accounts for a vast majority of sports related injuries. This region is critical in determining the most accurate diagnosis since many athletic career ending or set-back injuries occur in this segment of the body. Most of the time our normal daily movement do not cause problems but everyday wear and tear, repetitive stress and overuse can result in pain and structural abnormalities.- Commonly Treated Conditions
- Sprains/Strains
- Plantar Fascitis
- Joint Fixation/Motion Restriction
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Tingling/Numbness
- Hallux Valgus (Toe Deformity)
