Fitness General Rules
- Understand that daily physical activity is a required nutrient, not a therapy or an option. Choosing to refrain from physical activity is detrimental to your body. Love yourself and take care of yourself.
- Start each day with physical and spiritual/emotional exercise
- Add as much activity to your normal daily routine as possible. Always walk instead of drive when possible. Always take the stairs instead of an elevator when possible. Always choose active social outings for friends and family when possible. Get a workout partner or group.
- Never go a day without exercise or spinal hygiene exercises.
- Always assess your physical fitness level, activity level, and energy expenditure level compared to the gold standard for health and homeostasis (optimal and ideal health level)

About our Programs*:
The staff at Krueger Chiropractic has been uniquely trained in health and human performance. They assist athletes of all ages with exercise, rehabilitation and soft tissue injuries. Our programs will begin with a physical screen identifying limitations within the body that may need to be addressed within our programs. We use a whole body approach so that everything is functioning properly.
- Flexibility & Mobility
The objective of flexibility training is to improve the range of movement of the muscles that oppose movement. Flexibility plays an important part in the preparation of athletes by developing a range of movement to allow technical development and assisting in the prevention of injury.
Our flexibility and mobility programs are designed to improve range of motion and limitations within the body so that you are able to move freely without experiencing pain and discomfort.
- Strength Training
When we are discussing strength and power workouts, what we are really talking about is exercising the “anaerobic”, maximal effort component of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, and to some extent, the cardiac systems.
Strength training is important for various sports and athletic programs to ensure you are competing at the highest level. It is also important to ensure more quality years as you age. Our programs are designed to improve muscle definition, strength, and power and overall functional ability.
- Cardiovascular/Endurance
Cardio training is any exercise that elevates your heart rate to a range between 60 to 85 percent of your maximum rate (fastest your heart could possibly beat). When you're in this heart rate range, you're training in a "cardiovascular" or "aerobic" state. Cardio training has numerous health benefits. In addition to burning calories and losing body fat, it strengthens your heart and lungs. Since heart disease is the leading cause of premature death for both men and women, cardiovascular fitness is extremely important.
Our cardio programs will help patients become heart healthy by improving their fitness levels and endurance. We assist patients in their workouts by driving them to improve cardiovascular performance and fitness levels.
- Core Strength/Balance
The “Core” consists of many different muscles that stabilize the spine and pelvis and run the entire length of the torso. Core musculature allows us to stand upright and move freely. A strong core distributes the stresses of weight bearing and protects the back. Core strength is one of the most important areas of human performance. It should be a staple in every fitness program. Many individuals need to focus primarily on core strength and balance to improve health problems. Core conditioning programs need to target all the muscles of the core to be effective. The staff at Krueger Chiropractic has been trained to help patients with core issues affecting their health and guide them toward improvement.
- Weight Loss
Many patients suffer from various health conditions that are a direct result of their weight. It is important when starting any weight loss program to consult your physician. The Doctors at Krueger Chiropractic have been trained to help the patient implement lifestyle changes that include diet and nutritional supplementation to coincide with their individualized weight loss program to ensure the best results possible.
- Golf Fitness Instruction
Providing Golf Fitness Instruction through the Titleist Performace Institute, we provide amateur players with the tools necessary to overcome physical barriers impacting their golf swing and improve overall performance.
Golf fitness instruction is utilized by all the top golfers in the world. Each program is individually designed to ensure that every physical aspect affecting your golf swing is being addressed.
Your T.P.I. experience will begin with a health and golf fitness questionnaire to determine the best course of action by focusing on your goals, work schedule, level of physical ability, equipment available, and skill.
Then, as a baseline, a 2-dimensional video will be taken of your golf swing followed by a functional assessment of your body’s limitations. Finally an individually designed, six week, step-by-step fitness program will be prescribed to be performed in office or at your home or gym.
In addition, all individuals will receive lecture information on the basics of proper shoe fitting, understanding mental and emotional states, and nutrition for the golf course.

Posture
- Proper posture simply refers to maintaining the body in a position which protects against excessive stresses which cause injury, while requiring a minimal amount of muscular effort to maintain. In other words, a comfortable position which will not irritate your spinal tissues.
- Posture plays a significant role in the development of chronic conditions such as chronic back and neck pain. Poor posture is responsible for overstretching ligaments and other supportive spinal structures as well as exhausting spinal musculature, all of which quickly leads to the development of chronic spinal pain.
- Learning and practicing proper postural habits will help reduce the likelihood of acquiring back and neck injuries, reduce spinal degeneration, and help keep your spine and body happy and healthy.
- The Physicians at Krueger Chiropractic will monitor your body position regularly looking for scoliosis and postural abnormalities.

Ergonomics
- Ergonomics is the applied science of designing and developing equipment, workstation layout and work strategies to best suit and protect the human body. The goal of ergonomics is to minimize fatigue, discomfort, injury and emotional stress.
- It's important to recognize that even the most ergonomically correct environment will not prevent repetitive stress injuries if the body is simply overworked. The body has limitations with what it can withstand. Surpassing those limitations will most definitely result in injury.
